What is a webhook?

A webhook is a method for exchanging data between remote servers, basically a simple push service.

The IDnow backend service can push the status of an Ident, as well as the preliminary and final result data, as a JSON message to a URL of your choice. There are multiple options how to secure the data exchange

Webhooks help you to continuously receive real-time updates of the identification progress, data, and results. For more details, see our API documentation on our Developer Hub.
